I don’t like it when Daddy goes to work.
He shouldn’t be doing things without me. So Mummy took me to visit him in his office so I could see what he gets up to.
As soon as we arrived, I liked it. The lady behind the desk gave me a funny necklace with some words on it and waved at me. I showed her my friend, Mr Carrot. I think she liked him.
When we went into Daddy’s office, I got to see all of Daddy’s friends, and everyone was pleased to see me!
After I said hello to everyone, and introduced them to Mr Carrot, I did some work. Using a computer is fun! I got to press lots of buttons and move a little thing around (a mouse – Dad).
Mr Carrot was my assistant, but he wasn’t very good at it because his arms aren’t long enough to reach the phone.
In the end, I used the phone myself. I borrowed Daddy’s phone and made some important calls to my friends (they were pretend! – Dad). I rang my cousin Claudia, who is one, and my other cousin Dexter, who is three. I also talked to Nanny and Bampy, but that’s okay, because Daddy said it’s important to have a break when you are working.
I saw lots of pictures of me that Daddy has on his desk, and some of my drawings too. I liked them all. I’m glad he misses me as much as I miss him.
When it was time to go home all of Daddy’s work friends said I should come to work more often. Don’ tell him, but I think they like me more than him.

I love this! I’ve tried persuading my OH that she should take the boys to work with her. I’ve even offered to pay their wages… at the minimum wage! So far she’s declined, apparently it’s to do with child labour laws or something, I don’t know, I kind of switched off after the words ‘no chance’?
